Our Mission Statement.
The work of the Nakalanda Project is bringing the good news of Christ’s love and healing to the people of Nakalanda and the surrounding area. We minister to the whole person.
To the spirit with the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.
To the body with medicine and health education.
To the mind by raising up leaders through the school.
We desire to be in ministry with, not just to, the community.
Who we are.
Doug and Deb Banks lived in Darby, Montana for 45 years where they raised their 3 girls and had a successful construction business. Debbi worked as a dental assistant for many years and was office manager for Vintage Construction until becoming a full-time mom. They were very active in their church and community. So much of their experience in Montana prepared them for the work that God has called them to in Uganda, where they've now served for 15 years.

What we do.
Doug and Debbi are currently Directors of Eagles Nest Ministries Nakalanda Uganda. They oversee all aspects of operations in Nakalanda. It begins with a dream, includes all it takes to make that dream a reality and culminates in the implementation of that dream’s daily operation. Their roles cover a wide variety of disciplines such as primary education, community health care, elderly care, village church oversight, and running a retreat center focusing on missionaries needing R&R. They also spend time sowing into the lives of Ugandan Pastors and hosting outreach teams from other countries.

Our oversight is Eagles Nest Ministries Kampala Uganda.
